Snam S.p.A., an Italian company engaged in the transportation, storage and dispatch of natural gas, performing various associated activities such as the regasification of liquefied gas, operates mainly in Italy and in Austria, Albania, Arab Emirates, China, Greece, France and the United Kingdom through partnerships and subsidiaries.

It was founded in 1941 in Lombardy, being initially named as "Società Nazionale Metanodotti", listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 2001 and changing its name to Snam Rete that same year, leaving it as Snam as of 2012, around 2019 they start injecting hydrogen and methane to a high pressure network in Europe.

The company's businesses include Transportation, through a network of methane pipelines covering more than 38,000 km, Storage and supply of natural gas, LNG Regasification processes, projects with Biomethane, a renewable energy source, research and development activities in the hydrogen chain and Carbon Capture and Storage, focusing on energy efficiency by studying processes that require energy.

As of the third quarter of 2023, it recorded more than 2.8 billion euros in revenues, has 13 compressor stations, 9 entry points to the national gas network, 1 regasification terminal and a storage capacity in cubic meters of 17 bcm.

It is supported by several subsidiaries such as Snam Rete Gas SpA, Stogit SpA, GNL Italia SpA, Snam4Mobility, Snam 4 Environment, TEP Energy Solution and Teréga.
