Italgas S.p.A. is a company of Italian origin that specializes in the distribution of natural gas for domestic and commercial use. The parent group is composed of the entirety of the companies Italgas Reti, Italgas Acqua, Junto al Mar and Toscana Energia Verde, as well as partial companies such as Medea, Metano Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, Toscana Energia, Umbria Distribuzione Gas and Gaxa.

It was founded in 1837 in Turin, being initially named as "Compagnia di Illuminazione a Gaz per la Città di Torino", in 1967 it becomes part of the Eni Group through the subsidiary Snam, entering the stock exchange in 2016 after going through a process of legal investigations, becoming then Italgas S.p.A., expanding its operations from its hometown to the rest of Italy, obtaining concessions in almost 1,800 municipalities, buying in 2021 DEPA infrastructures, a company dedicated to gas distribution in Greece.

The company is in charge of supplying gas to homes and businesses in Italy, offering daily service, maintaining the networks to prevent leaks, making continuous investments in updating the system, ensuring its profitability, being present in major Italian cities such as Rome, Venice and Turin, controlling 35% of the domestic market.
