Recordati Industria Chimica e Farmaceutica S.p.A., is an Italian pharmaceutical industry group specialized in the manufacturing, packaging and marketing of all types of drugs supplied in various forms, from drops, topical, injectables and orals.
It has its origins in an old apothecary located in Correggio, in the hands of the Recordati family, who founded the Pharmacological Reggiano laboratory in 1926, operating as a drug production and research workshop, creating widely recognized drugs, moving to Milan in 1953, at which time the first subsidiaries located in Latin America were born.
Since 1999, they have been expanding the business through acquisitions in several countries, allowing them to launch new drugs, open more factories and vary dosages.
Headquartered in Milan, the company has two chemical plants, ten pharmaceutical production sites and a dedicated packaging plant, enabling it to be present in more than 150 countries, supported by more than 4,300 employees.
Through their extensive research and innovation process, they have been able to discover therapeutic treatments for many rare diseases and other more well-known pathologies such as acromegaly, Cushing's syndrome and tumors, as well as in general medicine and self-medication.
