Nexi S.p.A., a financial institution specialized in offering payment systems, is a leader in digital transfer solutions, through various partner banks, providing its customers, merchants and public companies with innovative, simple and intuitive services.

It was founded in 1939 as the "Istituto Centrale delle Banche Popolari Italiane" (ICBPI), acquiring Key Client Cards & Solutions, which allowed them to create in 2008 the Centralized Services Public Limited Company, Seceti, ending that same year with the purchase of a large part of SI Holding, and also managing in 2010 to purchase the depository unit of Banca Carige, and the custodian line of Banca Sella.

The group continued to make partial and full acquisitions over time, changing its name to Nexi in mid-2017 after merging with Nets and Sia, allowing it to expand into much of the European market.

Its offerings include payment acceptance solutions, e-commerce membership solutions, payment cards for individuals, corporate institutions and small, medium and large companies, as well as financial transactions for partner banks, other banks and financial institutions, central institutions, public address and Public Administration Solutions.
