Heineken Holding N.V., is a manufacturer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer, owns more than 165 breweries in 70 countries, in addition to its original product has several brands internationally.
Its creator Gerard Heineken was born in 1841, who worked in the brewing industry since 1864 becoming the first brewer to include in the brewing processes a quality control laboratory, in 1873 he opened a small factory with his family in Amsterdam, growing rapidly and obtaining success almost immediately.
In 1875 the company won the D'Or medal during the International Maritime Exhibition and in 1889 won the Grand Prix at the Paris expo for its Pilsner product, becoming the first exporter to France at that time, shortly after they discovered the A-yeast improving the taste of the drink, which they have maintained to date.
In 1933 they exported the beer to New York, just at the time when prohibition ended, arriving soon after to all parts of the world.
