Renault S.A., is a multinational company, dedicated to the design, manufacture and commercialization of vehicles of various types, has a small participation of the French government in its shareholders, so it is classified as mixed, has won numerous awards worldwide and participated on many occasions in the most popular racing competitions.

The company was founded in 1898 by Louis Renault and his brothers, when they created a Voiturette, four years later they developed the first two-cylinder engine, installed in a vehicle that participated and won the Paris-Vienna race, during wartime the company obtained several contracts to manufacture community mobilization vehicles, cabs, ambulances, being in 1924 when the figure of the diamond that characterizes it appears.

By 1929 the brand had brought its products to 49 countries, launching in 1961 the Renault 4, being the first car with a tailgate, revolutionizing in formula 1 in 1977 with the manufacture of the RS01 which had a turbocharged engine, acquiring in 2000 a large part of the company Samsung Motors, as well as a portion of AVTOVAZ, arriving in China in 2013 with the partnership between Renault and DRAC.

Likewise, the company made several negotiations that helped it to position itself worldwide, the most recognized being Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, thus gaining control of four important brands: Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Mobilize, starting its journey in the manufacture of electric and modular vehicles.
