Hermès International, S.A., is a company in the fashion industry, specializing in the design, production and marketing of leather accessories and luxury watches, with retail sales in its exclusive stores or on its website, being widely recognized by its logo defined by a carriage with a horse.

It was founded in Paris in 1837 as a saddle store, opening in 1837 a harness workshop, manufacturing mainly bridles and forged harnesses, which were used in the transport industry of the time, with important customers such as the Russian Tsar to whom they supplied saddles, making incursions into fashion from 1914 when they obtained the exclusive right to use zippers in their leather garments and began to manufacture clothing items, making the first golf jacket for the Prince of Wales in 1918.

In 1922 they launched leather handbags with different models and colors, opening two years later two more stores in affluent areas of France, the company continued to grow and expand maintaining the policy of luxury goods, opening stores in 1970 throughout Europe, Japan and the United States, becoming a conglomerate in 1976, including the production of silk goods, python leather, ostrich skin and watchmaking, partnering in 2014 with Apple to provide leather straps for their watches.
