Allianz SE. is a multinational financial services group headquartered in Munich, positioned in more than 70 countries through various subsidiaries, with almost 160,000 employees, offering its 126 million customers a broad portfolio of products.

It was founded in 1890 by Carl von Thieme and Wilhelm von Finch, managing to open the first foreign subsidiary in London in 1893, making its first important policy payment to insured clients in 1906 due to the consequences of the earthquake in San Francisco, United States, and in 1912 it also had to do so when the tragedy of the sinking of the Titanic occurred.

From 1920 Allianz began to make acquisitions and mergers, opening in 1932 a test laboratory, expanding to most of Europe from 1990 and then to America and Asia, mainly South Korea and China, in 2001 they bought Dresdner Bank, combining their activities to form Allianz Global Investors in Germany.

It provides services mainly with insurance policies that cover:
