Akzo Nobel N.V., is a multinational company dedicated to the production of industrial paints, decorative paints, and various specialty chemicals.

Its creation dates back to 1792 in Groningen, Netherlands, when Wiert Willem Sikkens established a varnish and paint factory, in addition to the founding of other companies that later became part of the corporation as KemaNobel, Bofors Forge and Sadolin, which laid the foundations throughout the seventeenth century.
