RWE AG ST O.N. is a company dedicated to the energy industry, specialized in the production, distribution and marketing of electricity, water and gas, both in Europe and North America through its subsidiaries, and is considered the second largest company in its sector in Germany.

Its beginnings are related to the founding of "W. In 1905 they acquired shares in a variety of tramway companies as part of an expansion strategy, entering coal mining in 1922, and promoting hydroelectric energy two years later, managing in 1955 to put into operation three large power plants, seeking to innovate in various sectors such as electric cars, nuclear power plants, heating systems, wind turbines, also venturing into the oil business and satellite technology.
