Otis Elevator Company is a company dedicated to the manufacture of elevators and vertical transfer systems such as escalators, moving belts, among others.

It was founded in the United States in 1853 by Elisha Graves Otis, who invented the safety brake system that prevents a fall of the cabin in case the pulleys or cables are broken or damaged, although the origin of the elevator is very old, its possibility of safe and automatic use was facilitated by this readjustment.

In 1976 United Technologies was acquired and moved its headquarters to Connecticut and then in July 2022 was sold to Russia to S8 Capital holding company, including technology, equipment and qualified personnel.

Its products have allowed the creation of a great variety of skyscrapers, guaranteeing vertical mobility in long stretches, for which the brand has been recognized worldwide, being a leader in its industry, it is estimated that the world's population uses an Otis equipment on an average of every three days.
