The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is a U.S. multinational company engaged in the manufacture of consumer goods such as personal care, beauty, home care, hygiene, fabrics, among others.
It was founded in 1837 by William Procter from England and James Gamble from Ireland, both settled in Cincinnati, where they began to manufacture and distribute soaps and candles that were very successful, especially during the Civil War, when they exclusively supplied the Union Army.
