Heijmans N.V., is a company dedicated to the construction industry, combining its functions with real estate development, as well as the necessary technical service, with clients ranging from individuals, homebuyers, governmental entities, companies and businessmen in general.

It was founded in 1923 by Jan Heijmans in Brabant, who built roads, starting as a family business that went from paving roads to manufacturing homes, premises, stores and later shopping centers, developing residential areas and business parks, and was listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 1993.

It is organized into four main units:

The real estate development unit, which focuses on projects of various scales, acting as initiator and seller of properties; the residential construction unit, which focuses on the execution of housing in its various typologies, as well as including design, restoration, redevelopment and maintenance activities, operating in three regional offices; and the non-residential building construction unit, which focuses on the design, construction and maintenance of high-quality mechanical and electrical installations; the non-residential building construction unit, which designs, builds and maintains high-quality mechanical and electrical installations, and the infrastructure development unit, which focuses on all aspects of private and public building infrastructure, including viaducts, tunnels, roads, treatment plants, pipelines, cabling and power supply.

Some of his best known projects are the ING House, the Western Scheldt tunnel and The Blob.
