Nedap N.V., its full name is NV Nederlandsche Apparatenfabriek, is a Dutch company, headquartered in the Netherlands, with subsidiaries in Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

It was founded in 1929 and was initially known as Nafa, changing to its current name in 1933. Seven years later they began to develop and commercialize several applications, moving to Groenlo in 1947 when they inaugurated a new factory, becoming listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange in the same year.

From 1950 onwards they specialized in electronics, becoming pioneers in RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology a few decades later, they maintained their operational processes until 2000, when they moved from developing technological hardware to designing software.

Its activities are focused on the development of technologies used in the field of identification, agricultural automation, access control systems, radio frequency identification systems, helping client companies to prevent losses and manage assets and inventories, as well as offering software for healthcare and flexitime control.
