Description of the company

ACOMO N.V. is an international holding company whose companies are engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, processing and distribution of natural ingredients used in the food industry, offering more than 600 products in over 100 countries, although all affiliates have their own lines of operation with independent management.

Its beginnings date back to 1908 with its predecessor Rubber Cultuur Maatschappij 'Amsterdam' working mainly in rubber and palm oil plantations, but in 1982 as a result of all the nationalizations in this sector, the company was partly acquired by Catz International, starting the group and changing its name to "Acomo" in 2000 as an abbreviation of Amsterdam Commodities, then simply ACOMO.

This new organization gradually diversifies its activities into the purchase, treatment, trade, processing, packaging and distribution of food ingredients, leaving its involvement in rubber from 2010 to focus entirely on the food sector.

Among the main segments of its business lines are Spices and Nuts, dried fruits, dehydrated vegetables, which are shipped to more than 80 countries, another segment is that of seeds such as sunflower, poppy and others for human consumption, while Tea is an important element in its business strategy, widely covering that market, in addition to other organic ingredients used in various food recipes.
