Verizon Communications, Inc. is a company that arose from the disintegration that AT&T had to make in 1984, due to the antitrust laws that were approved in the United States, being one of the famous "Baby Bells" called "Bell Atlantic Corporation" dedicated to telecommunications and broadband services.

After its founding, it acquires "GTE", a telephone and mobile communications company, becoming one of the most important mergers in the history of telecommunications, changing its name to Verizon, which is made according to the union of two words, "veritas" in Latin, which means truth and "horizon".

It is headquartered in the Verizon Building in New York, but has a wide variety of subsidiaries around the world, including GTE, MCI Inc, NYNEX, Diamond State Telephone, New Jersey Bell, Verizon North, Terremark, among others.

Its services range from fixed and mobile telephony, internet and broadband, digital television and telecommunications, in addition to that in 2016 they acquired Yahoo! And in 2018 they bought the company "Movildata International", which laid the groundwork to establish themselves in southern Europe, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Poland.
