It was founded in 1930 by Johannes Cornelis Van Der Lof together with his partner Jan Derk Odink, calling it NV Twentsche Kabelfabriek, entering the Amsterdam stock exchange in 1953 with the intention of expanding internationally, managing in 1980 to become a holding company by acquiring several companies in both the Netherlands and Germany, including TKF, Elektriciteitswerken JC Van der Lof, Elektro-Draad and Grenslandkabel.

Over time, they continued to acquire other organizations and in turn expanded their activities, gaining a presence in Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Poland, China, Japan and Canada.

Currently its strategic operational line is the innovative technology, focused on security, vision, connectivity and manufacturing of intelligent systems called Smart Vision, Smart Manufacturing and Smart Connectivity, providing integrated plug-and-play solutions through the different softwares developed.
