Description of the company

Koninklijke Vopak N.V., a multinational company, is engaged in the storage of products derived from various industries, including gases, LNG, petroleum, chemicals, vegetable oils and biofuels.

It was founded in 1999, after a series of negotiations and strategies to allow the merger between Royal Pakhoed nv and Royal van Ommeren nv, as both had activities in storage of delicate products and other logistics services, but such a union would give too much power, so the European Commission determined that it could not be done, until the participating companies sold part of their storage capacity and obtained permission.

Today it offers independent infrastructure services with 78 terminals located in 23 countries, more than 1,000 customers and more than 25 partners, in addition to having a broad portfolio to facilitate the flow of products, especially in the manufacturing and energy markets, to which they guarantee the safe and efficient storage of their products, whether liquids, gases or bulk.

It has activities in Europe, Asia, Australia. America and the Middle East, providing mainly four types of terminals, industrial, gas, chemical and oil. In addition to developing new solutions in the future based on other important materials such as ammonia, hydrogen, CO2, low carbon feedstock and flow batteries.
