Arcadis N.V., is a company dedicated to consulting in the area of engineering, design and management, executing airports, subway stations, viaducts, railway systems, among others.

It was founded in 1888 as Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij dedicated to the redevelopment of vacant land, engaging in various rural projects, participating in such activities for many years, until 1972 is restructured, being organized into two divisions, the Association (KNHM) and Heidemij, which functioned as a commercial arm.

They positioned themselves in the American market in 1993 through the merger with Geraghty & Miller, in Brazil in 1999 when they acquired Logos Engenharia and in the United Kingdom in 2005 with the purchase of Axtell Yates Hallet, thus expanding their portfolio of services. Over time they extend their operations into Scotland, North America, Asia and much of the European Union.

Their various acquisitions incorporated new functions such as surveying services, transportation, utilities, specialized design and consulting, architecture, enterprise asset management, semiconductor facilities, among others.

It is headquartered in Amsterdam, with more than 350 offices in 40 countries, developing so far projects such as the London City Airport, the Millau Viaduct in France, ten stations on the Gold Line of the Doha Metro, the Long Beach International Gateway in California, a breakwater in the port of Calais in France, several stations in Sydney Metro City & Southwest, among others.
