Description of the company

Symrise AG Inh O.N., a German-based company working in the chemical industry, specialized in the production of flavors and fragrances, natural nutrition and cosmetic ingredients, is considered the fourth largest company in the world in its sector, with more than 35 thousand products in its portfolio, offered to more than 6 thousand direct customers, located in more than 150 countries.

It was founded in 2003, following a merger between Dragoco and one of Bayer's subsidiaries, Haarmann & Reimer (H&R). Two years later, a series of acquisitions began, including Flavors Direct, Kaden Biochemicals GmbH, Belmay Fragrances, Diana Group and Sensient Technologies Corporation.

This strategy allowed the company to diversify its activities into sectors such as the manufacture of compound flavors and seasonings, production of special botanical extracts, fragrances, natural flavors and pet food solutions.

Its components are applied to everyday consumer products, from the menthol flavor of toothpaste, to some fragrances incorporated into well-known perfumes, and it even manufactures ingredients that are used in food, pet treats and beverages.

They are characterized by constantly innovating to stay at the forefront of current trends, dividing their activities into two segments, (Flavor, nutrition and health) and (Aroma and care), with 71 patents filed in 2022 alone, they have recorded in that year more than 4billion euros in revenues.
