Daimler Truck Holding AG, dedicated to the transportation industry, especially to the manufacture of commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, has approximately 100,000 employees in 40 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.

The company develops and manufactures buses and trucks, marketed under the Mercedes-Benz, BharatBenz, Western Star, FUSO, Freightliner, Thomas Built Buses, RIZON and Setra brands, and offers financial services to its customers.

It was founded in 2019 as a subsidiary of Daimler AG, being spun off in 2021, although at the operational level it has been active for a long time, as part of the activities of its parent company, creating the world's first bus in 1895 the Landauer of Carl Benz, in 1896 they introduce to the market the first motorized truck and the "Lieferungswagen" a delivery truck.

Around 1951 they acquired the "Universal-Motor-Gerät" (Unimog) a multi-purpose vehicle, absorbing its total production and commercialization, in 1981 they bought Freightliner from Consolidated Freightways and in 1995 they included the Setra and Mercedes-Benz brands to their portfolio, in the year 2000 they experienced a major growth incorporating the trucks of Canadian Western Star Trucks Holding, Ltd.

In 2021, after their separation and independence, they began their activities in various markets, participating in the Frankfurt stock exchange, and two years later they launched the RIZON brand in the United States, with three electric models.

It currently has several segments according to the brands and styles of vehicles developed North American Trucks, Freightliner-inspired truck, Mercedes-Benz Actros L, Mercedes-Benz, Asia Trucks, Fuso, Urban Buses - eCitaro - Range - Daimler Buses and the Financial Services unit.
