BNP Paribas S.A., an international bank headquartered in France, is engaged in corporate, institutional, commercial and personal banking services with retail networks, as well as real estate, investment and savings services.

It was created in 1966 through the merger between CNEP (Comptoir National d'Escompte de Paris) and BNCI (Banque Nationale du Commerce et de l'Industrie) obtaining the name of Paribas, initially public, but was privatized in 1993, changing its name in 1998 after buying Compagnie Bancaire.
