BNP Paribas S.A., an international bank headquartered in France, is engaged in corporate, institutional, commercial and personal banking services with retail networks, as well as real estate, investment and savings services.

It was created in 1966 through the merger between CNEP (Comptoir National d'Escompte de Paris) and BNCI (Banque Nationale du Commerce et de l'Industrie) obtaining the name of Paribas, initially public, but was privatized in 1993, changing its name in 1998 after buying Compagnie Bancaire.

In 2008, they acquired a part of the Fortis Group, which operated in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, becoming today the largest bank in Europe and the sixth largest in the world, recording a net financial income of 50.4 billion euros by the end of 2022, with a share for the group of 10.2 billion euros and a ratio of 12.3%.
