Description of the company

Altri SGPS S.A., a company largely owned by Cofihold, specializes in paper production, energy co-production, and wood, and is a leader in Portugal in sustainable forest management, renewable energy generation and eucalyptus fiber processing.

Its products are used in the paper industry for use in printing and writing, as well as in packaging and textiles, marketing its portfolio mainly in Portugal through a wide network of associated distributors.

It was founded as part of Industria Cofina in 1995, but separated in 2005 becoming an independent company, although they share the same majority shareholder, operating through several subsidiaries, Altriflorestal which is in charge of forest management, Biotek and Calbi which are dedicated to the production of Bekp cellulosic fibers and Caima specialized in dissolving DWP cellulosic fibers.

Its headquarters are located in Porto, counting with three manufacturing centers, supported by more than 800 employees, as for the production of pulp, the company generated in 2022 the amount of 1,142.6 Kt, obtaining about 1.1 billion dollars in revenues in that year.
