Ackermans & van Haaren N.V. ADR, commonly known as AvH is a group engaged in diverse activities, operating in 95 countries, with more than 21,000 employees, with a net turnover of more than 5 billion euros, reported in 2022.

It was created in 1888 by Hendrik Willem Ackermans and Nicolaas van Haaren, who obtained, in Belgium, their first contract for the construction of forts in the Meuse in Namur, obtaining later, in 1903, a dredging commitment in Argentina, becoming stronger in their sector until 1964, when they diversified their activities to include both marine and land oil drilling.

From this time on, they began a series of investments and acquisitions to expand to other continents and include other services, such as financial companies, private banking, others focused on sustainable agriculture, logistics and real estate, as well as other divestments to focus their efforts on strategic activities.
