Elecnor Group is a corporation dedicated to the execution of engineering, infrastructure, renewable energy and environmental projects, covering different sectors.

It was founded in 1958 in Bilbao, its initial name was "Electrificaciones del Norte", mainly focused on the electricity sector, later diversifying into telecommunications, expanding rapidly in Spain and Latin America through several subsidiaries, eventually reaching contracts in Central America and Africa.

By the 1990s it was already positioned in the European market, expanding its activities towards sustainable energy, and by 2001 it included a business area dedicated to construction, civil works, hydraulics and equipment manufacturing.

Today they classify their businesses into two units, service and projects, which in total cover eleven different activities (electricity, power generation, oil & gas, telecommunications and systems, railroads, maintenance and energy efficiency, facilities, construction, water, environment and space in terms of aerospace engineering).
