Description of the company

Starbucks Corporation is a chain of coffee shops distributed globally, selling mainly coffee, tea, pastries, and beverages in general, partnered with Spotify to play customized playlists to its customers.

It was founded by Jerry Baldwin, Gordon Bowker and Zev Siegl in 1971, who began selling coffee beans exclusively, but after traveling to Italy, one of its founders decided to expand the business and take that experience to the United States, and in 1987 it developed into the chain it is known as today.

The first stores were established in Seattle and Chicago, and quickly spread throughout the country, opening their first international store in Tokyo and later positioning themselves throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East with more than 24,000 branches.

As a sales strategy, they tend to be located in crowded places such as airports, museums, universities and shopping malls, with a fairly extensive marketing that includes everything from advertising on social networks to sponsorship and appearances in mainly American films.
