Description of the company

Airbus SAS is a company dedicated to the aerospace industry, specialized in the manufacture and commercialization of aircraft for civil use, and is one of the main aircraft manufacturing companies in the world.

It was formally founded in 1970 under the initial name "Airbus Industrie", is of German, French and Spanish origin, is part of the Airbus SE conglomerate, and is 80% owned by the "European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company" (EADS) and 20% by BAE Systems of Great Britain.

It is headquartered in Toulouse, France, but has factories in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and China, although its aircraft are marketed worldwide, especially in the United States and Japan.

Their aircraft are specified with a codification whose initial letter is "A" followed by a three-digit number, with a few exceptions, which define in their classification the number of engines, number of passengers, size and other technical characteristics, most have two engines (some have four) and have one or two aisles.
